|Quavo & Takeoff Confirms New Music During Their Joint Album Listening Party
Following Migos Split, it is apparent that both Quavo and Takeoff are keeping up to speed, ahead to the following chapter in their music careers. Also, it is not secret that the duo are family, uncle and nephew who seem to have formed a new team. They have from all indications chosen to continue doing music as a duo.
Weeks ago, the Northside rap family duo openly revealed that they are about to drop a joint project “Only Built For Infinity Links”, supposed to drop on October 7th 2022. Apparently, the album’s title got its inspiration from a play on Raekwon’s solo studio album titled, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx.
On the album, fans are expected to see songs like “Us Vs. Them,” “Hotel Lobby,” and also “Big Stunna” which features Birdman. These songs so far have been doing pretty well on the popular music charts. In respect to the coming album, Quavo and Takeoff both decided to give fans a snippet of what they should expect on the anticipated studio project when they held their listening party for their new album in Atlanta, this past Tuesday.
Talking about the album, Quavo tries to explain the meaning in the title of their awaited project, he says, “An infinity link. See, that’s the strongest link in the world. It runs in the blood.” Takeoff chipped in stating, “By far stronger than the Cuban.”
The upcoming released comes just after we got confirmation that the former trio Migos have finally split, with Offset now working as a solo artist.
Also, they were asked about their link with their former member, Offset. In a statement revaled to the Big Facts podcast at the beginning of the week, Quavo revealed, “We want to see our career as a duo,” he continued, “Because we came from a loyal family thats supposed to work together. And sometime when sh**t don’t work out, its not meant to be.”
Again, when asked if fans should be expecting any collaboration from the Migos trio in the future, Takeoff stated, “We don’t know all the answers. God know. We pray a lot so only time will tell. Aint nothing gon’ change.”
Like we stated, since the split, the third member of the crew, Offset has been on his own, working as a solo rapper. He in fact had released new songs like “Code, which features Moneybagg Yo and also has “54321” as a solo artist.
Please note that Only Built For Infinity Links, will be available on Friday 7th October 2022 on Apple Music and Spotify.
